Meet Organic Housekeepers’ leaders
Here at Organic Housekeepers, we are more than just cleaners — we’re Green Cleaners. Sure we’re earning a living, but we’re also helping to protect the earth and build a sustainable community.

All of our staff is committed to high quality service. We train on efficiency, cleaning “smarter not harder,” and we train on how to clean effectively with natural products. Our goal is to foster a sustainable culture among our employees, so we also teach “why” green cleaning is important for our health and the planet’s health.

All of our team leaders are equipped with Blackberries to ensure fast and attentive communication with clients.

Following are bios of Organic Housekeepers’ key players:

Tim Szurgot is our fearless leader“Captain Vacuum” Tim Szurgot
Although Captain Vacuum often says — “I’d rather be vacuuming” — when he’s not cleaning, you can find him turning all that excess energy into pedal power on local mountain bike trails. In the winter, he attaches two large planks to his feet and launches off big cliffs. And during the off-season, he travels to far-off locales with his wife, Cassie, usually via two wheels. But he’s always in search for the perfect wave, too, and mojito. Read the whole story on Captain Vacuum.

Cassie is the creative genius“Creative Genius” Cassie Pence
It still surprises her mother that Cassie Pence co-owns a cleaning company, but Cassie handles the creative side of things, including marketing, community outreach, business development, sustainability and human resources. She’s also head of Organic Housekeepers’ Green Team. When she’s not thinking of ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, she’s writing features for local publications, practicing her handstands in yoga and dreaming of future travels. She also writes a weekly column for the Vail Daily about how to live a more sustainable life. Called Greener Pastures, you can read the column here.
